Our Pastor
Pastor Berson Richard Simbolon (Berson)
Born on a tourist side of Lake Toba, Indonesia, into a family of five brothers and two sisters, Pastor Berson is married to Rolando Hernawati and has two children, Vincenz Vastin and Vieny Anggita.
After graduating from the Adventist University in Bandung, he served as a pastor as well as the health director for the Central Sumatra Mission. For more than 8 years, he has enjoyed doing community development with the Expatriate Association in Duri and Dumai, Riau.
After obtaining his Master of Public Health in 2000, he pursued a Doctor of Ministry degree in AIIAS, Philippines. The Singapore Mission then called him to minister at the Maranatha Adventist Church after his graduation in 2003.
Pastor Berson is very happy to have a chance to minister to this friendly church. It is his desire that Maranatha Church will continue to grow with a clear direction.
“In order to reach what we want, we need to enhance our unity and to develop a sense of urgency in responding to the ‘needy people’ around us. Let’s practice what we believe and share to others what we have.”
