Our Pastor Jerry Phillips Jacobs
Pastor Jerry Jacobs was born on December 15, 1972 in Jayapura, Papua, Indonesia, to parents Jimmy Jacobs, a Seventh-day Adventist minister, and Maritje Tangkudug. He is married to the lovely Mariesca Timbuleng and has four wonderful children, Cavin, Kimberly, Angelin, and David.
He has served the Lord for more than twelve years and has experienced a rich variety of ministries as a church pastor and Bible teacher and dean of boys in the Eastern part of Indonesia. He has ministered in cities and also in the jungle of Papua, Indonesia.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in theology from Universitas Klabat, Manado, Indonesia, in 1997. He is currently completing his Master of Christian Ministry from Griggs University, USA, through its affiliation with Asia-Pacific International University, Thailand, and plans to graduate in February 2012.
Pastor Jacobs was called by the Singapore Adventist Conference to minister at Maranatha Church in July 2011. He is delighted to become part of this church known for their unity, hospitality, and passion in serving the Lord.
Pastor Jacobs encourages church members, “Look to Christ and to the Cross, have a personal relationship with God by reading the Bible and spending time in prayer every day, prepare yourself and others for the soon coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Maranatha!”
